Lake Chatuge is fishing great, most of the fish have spawned and are now starting to feed. They are still around spawning flats and waiting to move out to deep water. The first couple hours in the morning there has been a good top water bite, the lures we’ve been using has been Whooper plooper, Strike King sexy shad and pop r. You can go back through the same areas when the sun comes up and throw a tube bait, jig, shaky head and drop shot. Worm colors have been green pumpkin, and morning dawn, you can still find a few fish guarding fry around brush and docks, target these fish with a fluke or trick worm.
