About

My name is Eric Welch. I’m a USCG LIcensed Guide/Certified CPR, First Aid. I am a native of North Georgia, a full-time guide, and an avid tournament angler, I have over 39 years of knowledge of the lakes I guide on. My support system is my wife of twenty-eight years and an amazing and very talented daughter. Their support allows me to make a living doing what I love……….guiding!

The unique thing about my location is that I have many different lakes to provide guide services on, in 3 different states: Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina, The longest travel time from my location is about an hour from my home.

My bass boat is a 2017 21′ Phoenix 921 PHX powered by a Mercury 250Pro XS 4 stroke and can accommodate 3 anglers. My boat is equipped with Humminbird Helix 12 with Down Imaging and Structure Scan at the console, Humminbird Helix 12 Down imaging, and Garmin Livescope 1022 at the bow. With a Minn Kota Ultrex trolling motor.

I am a member of St.Croix Prostaff, Humminbird, Daiwa, Gamma fishing line, Strike King Lures, Simms, Minn Kota, Yeti, Hydro wave, Mercury Marine, TH-Marine, Berkley, and Z-Man.

With my guide service, I welcome all types of anglers from rookies to tournament anglers. I will cater to whatever knowledge you want to concentrate on: finesse techniques, ledge fishing, electronics, and also Smallmouth, Largemouth, and Spotted Bass.

I have had the awesome privilege and blessing of being on The Outdoor Channel as a co-host of Reel In The Outdoors with Joe Thomas on Lake Chickamauga and also on Strike Kings Hook n’ Look with Kim Stricker on Lake Burton.

I have also been featured in Georgia Outdoor News Magazine, Georgia Sportsman Magazine, and Simply Fishing Magazine

I look at everyday on the lake as a new adventure. I enjoy guiding clients and teaching them new techniques that they can in turn use on their own local waters with success. It can be as simple as teaching clients how to read their electronics correctly to locate bass or showing them how to drop-shot using their electronics. I’m confident I have the experience to improve all each clients bass fishing knowledge.

Eric's services are like no other! Professional website, best rates around, and most importantly, a fantastic fishing guide. Wouldn't choose anyone else to guide me though North Georgia's lakes.

Thank you for an enjoyable day on the water last week!  My son Trevor has been telling his buddies about the one that got away ever since we got home LOL. Mark Schumacher

Thank you for another great trip.  It was special being with my boys and you made it even more enjoyable. Paul E. Hibbitts

Eric,
I ran across this e-mail in my attempts to catch up from vacation and wanted to thank you for the great time and fishing you allowed us to enjoy. One of my best trips ever and my “live-action” is still talking about it. You are a great guide and I have told everyone about you. James Powell

Nick and I had a great time fishing with you last week. We used your drop-shot technique to catch a lot of fish during our stay. When we get back to Colorado, I’m going to Bass Pro Shops and buying a couple of rods that are set up to fish the drop-shot. Thanks, Dave Miller

Eric, I wanted to follow up and say thanks for a great trip on Lake Burton.  We all had a great time and it was fun learning a new way to fish. Hal Groce
