Lake Chatuge is back to normal

Lake Chatuge is back to normal, over Memorial week it rained for 7 days pushing the lake up in the woods and over home owners walk ways to their docks. For two days TVA had to open all flood gates, first time they’ve had to do this in 40 years. But the fish are no longer up in the woods they’ve moved back out on the points and deep banks since the waters went back down. I’m still starting my mornings out throwing a Whopper Plooper and a Strike King Sexy Dawg for Spotted bass around flats and long points. When the sun gets up I start throwing a dropshot with a 6″ RoboWorm in morning dawn around docks, points or any where I see fish on my electronics. You can also catch some good fish on a shaky head and Texas rig with a Zoom trick worm in green pumpkin. A 3/8oz jig in green pumpkin or pb/j are good to throw around docks and brush to try to pick up some Largemouth bass. On windy days I like to throw a 3/8oz spinner bait and a Strike King 4xd crankbait. “Looking to take a guided fishing trip?  view my rates, and secure yourself a North Georgia Fishing Guidetoday!”
