Fishing Update
- On July 9, 2019
I’ve been covered up lately running guide trips almost everyday, but here is a fishing update from Lake Blue Ridge, Lake Nottely, Lake Chatuge and Lake Chickamauga. we’ve hardly had any rain lately, so we’re already seeing August water temps. The water temp is up around 84-86 degrees in all the lakes, It’s been starting out at 84 in the mornings and by lunch it’s already at 86. In the month of July and August I’m only running 4hr or 6hr morning trips starting at daylight or 4hr late afternoon trips due to the hot weather. The top water bite is hit or miss due to us not having any cool nights for the bait fish to bunch up and feed, this is causing the bait and the bass to be scattered. In the mountain lakes we’ve been catching the Spotted bass deep around 10 to 45 feet on dropshot, shaky head and texas rig. The Largemouth bass on Chickamauga have been coming on dropdshot, shaky head, texas rig senko and jigs, out off deep ledges and humps. If you looking for a trip give us a call, It’s also time to get your place on the calendar for fall fishing.
