Well Lake Chatuge  finally started showing some top water action the other day. We was out the other morning for Steve’s 70 birthday and the lake came alive that morning. It started out cloudy and we was looking for a top water bite,  we was throwing Whopper ploopers and Strike King sexy dawg around points and brush in pockets. We caught a couple and had a few blow ups and then I decide to move on down the lake to a place they normally push bait in this time of year, as we was getting closer I could see some fish breaking in the pocket, as we eased in to the pocket and started casting, the fish started blowing up like something you would see out in the ocean. For about three hours we caught Spotted bass and Hybrids mostly on top water, we did catch some on the 2.75 Strike King rage swimmer with a 3/16 oz head.
