We just got back a couple of weeks ago from our annual Dale Hollow lake trip. It was a little cold and wet, but the fish didn’t mind. We did catch some good Smallmouth bass this year, had a couple over 5lb with our best day having 5 that went almost 22lb. The baits we used was float n fly, jigs and tubes,our best pattern was the back side of points and small pockets. If you have never been Smallmouth fishing, I would highly recommended going to Dale Hollow. We always stay at Horse Creek Marina, they are super nice people and you get to leave your boat under their covered docks and don’t have to worry about anyone bothering your stuff.  It’s going to be an exciting Year for Welch’s Guide service we’ve teamed up with some new sponsors Mercury Marine and TH Marine.
